Membership in the NCWBA Empowers Your Women’s Bar Association Through Networking, Referral and Information-Sharing Opportunities As an affiliate of the American Bar Association, we represent the voice of organized women’s bar associations through our delegate to the ABA House of Delegates, our liaison to the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession, as well as through co-sponsorships and collaborative projects with other organizations. In-person networking opportunities such as our annual Women’s Bar Leadership Summit, let participants learn about leading trends facing women lawyers and share ideas directly with their peers. Our monthly e-newsletter and social media allow us to stay in touch throughout the year.  Our electronic e-mail lists enable those who wish to communicate directly with each other about referrals, job opportunities, upcoming events or anything important to the community of women lawyers.

Offers National Recognition of Your Outstanding Programs We recognize the outreach work of women’s bar associations through our annual Public Service and Outstanding Member Program Awards.  Information about the winning programs is shared and serves as a model for other projects.

Strengthens Women’s Bar Associations Through the Exchange of Best Practices The Best Practices—the strategies, initiatives, programs and successes shared at the annual Summit and throughout the year—truly do make a difference in the quality and strength of women’s bar associations.
