On Friday, February 6, 2015 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston Ida Abbott, author of the book, Sponsoring Women: What Men Need to Know, described practical steps that managers can take to advocate for the advancement and retention of women in the legal profession. Ida Abbott was joined by a panel including Amy Chronis, Partner, Deloitte & Touche, Mark Coffin, managing partner of Seyfarth Shaw’s Houston office, the Honorable R.K. Sandill of the Harris County District Court in Houston, and Michele Coleman Mayes, chair of the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession and Vice President and General Counsel of the New York Public Library.
