President's Award

Established in 2025, the NCWBA President’s Award honors an individual who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing the interests of women in the legal profession. Selected by the current NCWBA President, this award recognizes those whose leadership, advocacy, and dedication have made a lasting impact—whether through mentorship, policy work, community engagement, or institutional change. The recipient embodies the mission and values of the NCWBA and serves as an inspiration to others working to create a more equitable and inclusive legal profession.

Call for Nominations: NCWBA President’s Award

The NCWBA is proud to introduce the President’s Award, a new honor established in 2025 to recognize an individual who has shown unwavering dedication to advancing the interests of women in the legal profession. We are now accepting nominations for the inaugural award, to be presented at the 2025 Women’s Bar Leadership Summit.

We invite member organizations to nominate one of their own—someone who exemplifies what it means to leave the ladder down for others. The ideal nominee is a member of your organization who has consistently:

  • Mentored and supported women throughout their legal careers
  • Created meaningful opportunities for women to grow and lead
  • Championed inclusion and equity within the profession
  • Built a legacy of lifting others as they rise

This award is a chance to celebrate the quiet changemakers and tireless advocates within our member organizations who are shaping the future of the legal profession for women, one relationship, one opportunity, and one act of leadership at a time.

Submit your nomination by April 21 by emailing [email protected]
Include a brief statement (500 words or fewer) about how your nominee embodies the spirit of the President’s Award.

Let’s honor those who ensure no woman climbs alone!
